ABOUT ALFIYYAT IBN MALIK:
The title is Alfiya (ألفية ابن مالك) is a rhymed book of Arabic grammar written by Ibn Malik in the 13th century. One of the most referenced book in the study of Arabic Grammar is Imam Ibn Malik's Alfiyyat, or the 1000 poem line on Grammar (Nahw). The long title is al-Khulāsa al-alfiyya. At least 43 commentaries have been written on this work, which was one of two major foundations of a beginner's education in Arab societies until the 20th century. Along with the Ajārūmīya, the Alfiya was one of the first books to be memorized by students in religious schools after the Qur'an.

ABOUT SHARH IBN 'AQIL:
This explanation (Sharh) stands out from all the other explanations (Shuruh). Reason that this title is very popular is due to its scope of covering all the problematic terminologies as well as mentioning the difference of opinions that surrounds certain methods.
شرح ابن عقيل لقاضي القضاة بهاء الدين عبد الله بن عقيل، المتوفَّى سنة (769هـ = 1367م)، وهو يمتاز بالسهولة وحسن العرض، وقد حقَّق الشيخ محمد محيي الدين عبد الحميد هذا الكتاب، ونشره في أربعة أجزاء مع تعليقه عليه بعنوان "منحة الجليل بتحقيق شرح ابن عقيل"، وقد لقي هذا الشرح قبولاً واسعًا، ودرسه طلبة الأزهر في المرحلة الثانوية.

ABOUT IMAM JAMAL AL-DIN IBN MALIK:
His name was He is Jamal al-Din abu Abd Allah Muhammad b. Abd Allah b. Abd Allah b. Malik, al-Ta'i, Ash-Shafi'i, al-Jayyani, a city in al-Andalus in which he was born the year 600 Hijri. He travelled to Damascus and settled there. Amongst his teachers are:
--- Thabit b. Muhammad b. Yusuf al-Gharnati,
--- Abu Abd Allah b. Malik al-Mirshani,
--- Muwafaq al-Din Abu al-Baqa'i Ibn Ya'ish,
--- and many others in Damascus.
He also had many popular students amongst them were:
--- Abu Abd Allah Muhammad b. Muhammad al-Ansari,
--- Badr al-Din Muhammad b. Ibrahim Ibn Jama'ah,
--- Badr al-Din Abu Abd Allah Muhammad b. al-Imam Jamal al-Din, widely known as Ibn al-Nadhim, who is the son of Imam Ibn Malik himself and later writes a commentery on the Alfiyyah, with additional annotation added by Shaykh al-Islam Zakariya al-Ansari.
--- Zayn al-Din Abu Bakr b. Yusuf al-Mizzi,
--- Zayn al-Din Abu al-Barakat al-Munajja,
--- Shams al-Din Abu Abd Allah Muhammad b. Abi al-Fatah, who also wrote a commentary on his Shaykh's Alfiyyah.
--- 'Ala al-Din Ali Ibn al-'Attar,
--- Muhy al-Din Abi Zakariya Yahya b. Sharaf al-Nawawi,
--- and there many a more students whom he taught.
He became an Imam in the Arabic language but didn't get to teach, except very little. He would stand outside and call people to come learn Arabic and very few would respond. He was afraid of hiding knowledge and not teaching and benefiting people. After standing out for so long, he would say that at least he didn't try to hide what he had of knowledge and had done his part of calling people to it.
He has written various books, some of the popular ones are;

He has written more work than this, but the bulk of it in Arabic Grammar.
He died in 672H in Damascus, he was 75 years old.
ABOUT IMAM IBN 'AQIL:
He is Qadi al-Quddat, al-Imam Baha al-Din 'Abd Allah b. 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Abd Allah bin 'Aqil, al-Qurshi, al-Hashimi al-'Uqayli (descendant of 'Uqayl bin Abi Talib) was born in Egypt on a friday 9th of Muharram 698H. He was one of the experts in the science of Arabic Grammar, foremost expert in his time of all the grammarians.
Some his written work is:

--- Mukhtasar al-Sharh al-Kabir;
(مختصر الشرح الكبير)
--- al-Jami' al-Nafis;
--- al-Tafsir; didnt complete it, but reached final segments of Aal 'Imran;
He passed away on Wednesday evening 23rd of Rabi' al-Awal 769H.
ABOUT SHAYKH MUHAMMAD MUHY AL-DIN 'ABD AL-HAMID:
He was al-Allamah Abu Raja' Muhammad Muhy al-Din Ibn 'Abd al-Hamid b. Ibrahim al-Misri. born in Cairo in 1900. He initialy gained his knowledge in Dimyat than moved to al-Azhar up to the point of his graduation in 1925. He became an expert of grammarian and wrote many works on the field and other subjects until he was called the 'Suyuti of Today' (Suyuti al-'Asr).
Some of the popular works he wrote are:
--- al-Tuhfat al-Saniyyah bi Sharh al-Muqaddimat al-Ajurrumiyyah,
--- al-Ahwal al-Shakhsiyyah fi' Shari'ah al-Islamiyyah,
--- Ahkam al-Mawarith 'ala Madhahib al-Arba'ah,
--- Tahdhib al-Sa'ad
and many others.
He passed away 1973 in Cairo and had a much attended burial.
