ABOUT AL-AJURRUMIYYAH:
This book is al-Ājrūmīya (Arabic: الْآجُرُّومِيَّةِ) in full Al-Muqaddimah al-Ajurrumiyyah fi Mabadi’ Ilm al-Arabiyyah is a 13th-century book of Arabic grammar (نحو عربي naw ʿarabī). Written in verse for easy memorization, it formed the foundation of a beginner's education in Classical Arabic learning in Arab societies of the time and was one of the first books to be memorized after the Qur'an along with the Alfiya. It was written by the Moroccan Berber Abu 'Abd Allah Sidi Muhammad ibn Da'ud as-Sanhaji (aka "Ibn Ajarrum") (d. 1324). The "Ājrūmīya" is a well-known and useful compendium of Arabic Syntax. It is regarded by the Arabs themselves as a standard educational work.

This commentary is a brief commentary of modern day trying to bring out for the students the key places that make students stuck when reading/studying the Ajurrumiyyah.

This print is extremely well edited and researched. It has an extensive study of the text, explaining its reach and fame. Also an extensive list of works that have been written on the Ajurrumiyyah is mentioned, with annotations, commentaries, Hawashi and versifications. The entire text of Ajurrumiyyah is found at the beginning then followed by the commentary, separated by a line.  

 

التقريرات البهية على متن الآجرُّوميَّة

« متن الآجرومية » بوابة النحو للمبتدئين، ومدخل طلاب العلم النابهين.

وابنُ آجرُّوم رحمه الله عرف بالبركة والصلاح، وألَّف « الآجرُّومية » تجاه الكعبة المشرَّفة كما قيل.. فعمَّ نفعها في كلِّ البلدان والأمصار، واعتنى بها أهلُ العلم عنايةً فائقةً ما بين نظمٍ وشرحٍ واختصارٍ.

ولذا فإن السيد القاضي محمَّد رشاد البيتي السَّقَّاف حفظه الله لمَّا انسجم قلبه ولسانه مع ابن آجرُّوم رحمه الله.. قامَ بالتعليق على متنه تعليقاً نفيساً زاد من بهائه وجماله.

والسيد محمد رشاد السقاف صاحبُ الأنفاس الزكيَّة والإشارات العليّة هو فارسُ ميدان نحوِ اللغة والأدب والتربية، فهو النَّاقد الخبيرُ والأديبُ النحريرُ والعالم الفذّ الذي ربَّى الرجال، وانتفع به الخاص والعام.

وحواشي « الآجرومية » وشروحها قد ملأت المكتبة النحوية، هذا مما عُرف فطُبع، وثَمَّالعشرات بل المئات مما بقي مخطوطاً أو غادر ضائعاً.

وميزة الشرح الذي سطره العلامة القاضي السيد رشاد نفع الله به.. أنه وضعه ابتداءً كمرشد لهفي حل ألفاظها وبيان غامضها، مستدركاً أو شارحاً.

وهو ممن درَّس المتن مراراً، وأهل مكة أدرى بشعابها، فلا يكاد يخطر على بال الدارس سؤال إلاوسيجد بعون الله ما يكشفه ويوضح غامضه في هذه التقريرات البهية.

ولسعة انتشار « الآجرومية » في أرجاء المعمورة، وكونها البوابة التي يسعى نحوها ابتداءًطلاب العربية.. آثرت دار المنهاج طباعة هذا الكتاب معتنىً به بما يقرُّ عين مؤلفه، جزاه اللهتعالى كل خير.

هذا؛ وقد تمَّت ـ إتماماً للفائدة ـ العناية بمتن « الآجرومية » للعلامة الإمام محمد بن محمدالصنهاجي رحمه الله تعالى، فأفرد كاملاً أوَّلَ الكتاب، وضبط ضبطاً تامّاً، محلّىً بعلامات الترقيم،ومبوباً أحسن تبويب، يعين الطالب على حفظه، والعالم على تصوُّره.

ولم يخل الكتاب بدوائره العلمية من تعليقات مفيدة زكية، وإحالات وتخريجات تعين الباحثعلى التوسع، وإعرابات تزيد وضوح النص، وفوائد تغزره وتثريه.

وكلنا رجاء بالله تعالى ألا يخيِّب الآمال، وأن يرزقنا رضاه سبحانه وتعالى.

ABOUT IMAM AL-AJURUM:
He was Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Dawud As-Sinhaji better known by the name of Ibn Ajurum. His name Sinhaji is a tribe in the Maghrib. Ibn Ajurum was born in the city of Fez, Morocco in the year 672 H. This is also the year wherein the other Nahw expert Imam Ibn Malik, the author of Alfiyyah died.

Initially, Ibn Ajurum Fas studying in the city, and then he set out on the pilgrimage to Mecca. When passing through Cairo, he studied Nahw with Abu Hayyan, an expert  in Andalus, until he graduated with him. Imam Ibn Ajurum compiled few works;

--- al-Muqaddimat al-Ajurrumiyyah; this grammar work is most famed work compiled in the year 719 H, four years before he died. It was said that Imam Ibn Ajurum wrote this famed work infront of the Ka'bah, as mentioned by al-Ra'i and Ibn al-Haj. It also reported that when he finished it he threw it in the ocean saying "If indeed this book was written in Sincerity to Allah, then surely it will survive." It has indeed survived to the extend where less of the author is known but the work is universally accepted.

--- Fara'id al-Ma'ani fi Sharh Hirz al-Amani; This is a commentary of Manzumat al-Shatibiyyah on the seven Qira'at.

Ibn Ajurum rahimahullah died in the city of Fez on Monday, the 10th of Safar 723 AH.

 

 

ABOUT AL-SAYYID MUHAMMAD B. RASHAD AL-SAQQAF:
He is the Sayyid, the Judge, Muhammad Rashad b. Ahmed b. Abd al-Rahman b. Shaykh al-Bayti, as-Saqqaf, tracing all the way back to Imam al-Hussain b. Ali b. Abi Talib. He was born in Kaninah, the 20th of Ramadan 1344 Hijri. His father managed his primary education up to his 11th year, wherein his father passed away and the educational mantle was taken over by his paternal uncle Shaykh Abd al-Rahman.

He rapidly gained an appetite to learn and excell. He studied under many contemporises scholars and travelled several places in Arabian peninsula, Tarim being one of them. He became the judge and taught many years.
